Callonwood is a planned community located in Matthews, North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte. The community is situated in the southeastern part of Matthews and is bordered by Idlewild Road to the north and Lawyers Road to the south.

Callonwood was developed in the early 2000s and features a mix of single-family homes, townhouses, and condominiums. The community is designed to offer a suburban lifestyle with amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, playground, and walking trails.

The single-family homes in Callonwood range in size from around 1,500 to 4,000 square feet and typically have three to five bedrooms. Many of the homes have two-car garages and some have basements. The townhouses and condominiums offer more affordable options for homebuyers and range in size from around 1,000 to 2,000 square feet.

Callonwood is located in the highly-rated Union County Public Schools district. It also has quick access to Union Day school and Socrates Academy charter schools.
